HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Aucioneering Co. reports as follows :—

At the weekly stock sale held in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last there was a small entry of cow' beef, no fat s,te.ers being penned. With the exception of a few pens the Quality was not up to the usual standard, and well done cattle sold at advanced ra,tes. The sheep pens were filled principally with rape and store lambs. There being a short market of fat (sheep, prices, were firmer for all classes.

Although the bacon companies have reduced their price to 5%d on scales, fat pigs' easily maintained the values of late markets and sold a,t prices equalling 6d to per lb. Beef: Medium prime cows made from £8 to £8 2s 6d, lighter £6 10s ito £7 ; light cows and heifens £5 to £5 17s 6d, plain and ordinary £3 10s to £4 10S; vealers £1 Ils to £1 17s 6d ; store cows £2 to £2 10s.

Sheep : Medium fat ewes 18s 3d; prime woolly lambs 32s ; fat lambs 26s to 26s 6d, lighter 21s to 22s 6d ; fair 4'-tooth store wetheijs' 265, 3d, small 22s ; W.F. shorn ewe lambs 13s 6d ; good shorn- B.F. rape lambs 15s _6d, smaller 12s 9d to 13s ; extra good ea.rly s.horn Romney wether lambs 15s 4d, medium 12s Id ,to 12s 7d; shorn culls 6ts' to 8s 3d ; good framed sound mouth ewes 22s 6d.

Pigs: Heavy baconers £3 17s, to £4 ss; good baconers £3 13s to £3 16s, lighter £3 8s to £3 10s ; good porkers to light baconers £3 to £3 5s ; medium porkers £2 10ts - to' £2 14s, light £2 to £2 'ss ; slips and small porkers 25s to 30s ; weaners 6s to 13s.
