Invitations were issued to all those Who could be located, and after the pa,rty had witnessed the evening performance of the “Diggerfe’ 1 ’ at 'the Cremorne Theatre they foregathered again a.t a dinner at Lennon’si Hotel. Here this merry party of Maorilanders find a great time, ,and Kia Oras, Hajeremais, Ake Akes, and .the like rent the air. It was a great success, this reunion, and it was' unanimously decided to' make it an annual, gjffiair. As showing how New Zealanders “get out and get on,” it may be mentioned that among those present at the reunion were the Hon. Tt Dunstan (Minister for Public Works in the Queensland Government), His Worship the Mayor of Brisbane (Mr Geo. Diddens), Mr Isaac (president of the Brisbane Club), Mr Cuppies (president of the Johnsonian Club), Dr. Combra Stewart (Registrar of the University,) the Hon. Mr Whittinghanf (a financial magnate), Mr SUgb (editor of the Daily Mail), Mr M. Il Reading (editor of the Telegraph). Mr Barrington Waters (manager for Messi's Fullers), Mr Wallace a,nd Mr ■Mathieson (of the J. C. .Williamson Company), Dr. P. Kelly (of Stl. Patrick's College), Mr Roy Mbnteflore (of the Ocean Accident Insurance Company), and, of course, the genial Pat Hanna himself. “Next day,” said Mr Hanna, “I was, met by dozens of fellows: who apked why they hadn’t been invited. I didn’t know they were New Zealanders, but found afterwards that there must be a whale of a lot of chaps from here living in Brisbane.”
