Loan of £15,500 over the Horahia Drainage District for the purpose of providing improved Drainage for the Benefit of the Horahia Drainage District. OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

(1) That it is the intention of the Horahia Drainage Board under the provisions of “The Land Drainage Act, 1908,” "The Local ik’dies Loans Act, 1913,” and Amendments thereof respectively, and all other Acts, if any, it in that behalf enabling to borrow the sum of £15,500 for the purpose of providing improved drainage for the benefit .of the Horahia Drainage District by means of constructing new drains, flood-gates, outlets, culverts, and crossings; improving and enlarging existing drains, flood-gates, outlets, culverts, crossings, and . stop-banks ; and providing contingencies for and in connection with the establishing and protecting of the said purpose. (2) That as security for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other chargdfe on the said loan, it is the intention of the said Board to make and levy a special rate of one penny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all tateable property in the Horahia Drainage District classified as Class “A” in the classification list, and a special rate of seven eighths of one penny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Horahia Drainage District classified as Class “B” in the classification list.

(3) That it is the intention of the Board to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. (4) That the loan is for a period of 36% years at such rate of interest not exceeding so much as may be authorised under Section 11 of “The Finance Act, 1921,” together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking fund. That such Special Order will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Board to be held on Friday, the 15th day of January, 1926, at 10.30 a.m., at the residence of Mrs. E. K. Kneebone, Kerepeehi-Kopuarahi Road, Turua. That a copy of the proposed Special Order is deposited at the Office of the Board and is open to the inspection of the public during the hours between 9' a.m. and 5 p.m. until the 15th day of January, 1926.
