PAEROA RAINFALL.
LOWEST AVERAGE IN FIVE YEARS.
TEN DAYS’ RAIN IN DECEMBER.
From figures supplied, by the local office of the Public Works Department it is, shown that the rainfall' at Paeroa during 1925 was 22.87 inches below that of 1924. The winter months were exceptionally free of rain in comparison Witli other years, and from records it is gathered that the rainfall at Paeroa for the year just ended was the lowest registered for five years. The totall local rainfall. for 1925 was, 42.28 inches, compared with 65.15 inches during 1924. The wetterst day last year was August 13, when 2.94 inches of rain fell; During last month the total rainfaH registered was 1.14 inches. Rain fell on ten days during the month, the heaviest fall being on December 11, when .29 of an inch wag,, recorded.
