Public Notices. THAMES VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. NOTICE TO CONSUMERS. PAEROA, HAURAKI PLAINS, & THAMES ROAB DISTRICTS. The horahora - waikino Transmission Line will bo overhauled on the. 29th, 30th, and 31st inst, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., necessitating a reduction in the power supply to the above districts. Consumers are requested to use as little power as possible between the hours mentioned. Country Consumers are advised to finish milking by 7 a.m. and not to re-commence till after 5 P-m. Adherence to the above will greatly facilitate operation. HORAHIA DRAINAGE DISTRICT. NOTICE .OF INTENTION TO BORROW. Loan of £15,500 oyer the Horahia Drainage District for the purpose of providing improved Drainage for the Benefit of the Horahia Drainage District. IS HEREBY GIVEN (1) That it is intention of the Horahia Drainage Board ,under the provisions of “The Land Drainage Act, 1908,” “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and Amendments thereof respectively, and all other Acts, if any, it in that behalf enabling to borrow the sum of £15,500 for vhc purpose of providing improved drainage for the benefit of the Horahia Drainage District by means of constructing new drains, flood-gates, outlets, culverts, and crossings; improving and enlarging existing drains, flood-gates, outlets, culverts, crossings, and stop-banks; and providing contingencies for find , in connection with the establishing and protecting of the said purpose. - (2) That as security for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges-on the said loan, it is the intention of the said Board to make and levy a special rate of one penny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) >of all rateable property in the Horahia Drainage District classified as Class “A” in the classification list, and a special rate of seven eighths of one penny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimprjved) of all rateable property in the Horahia Drainage District classified as Class “B” in the classification list. (3) That it is the intention of the Board to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. (4) That the loan is for a period of 36% years at such rate of interest not exceeding so much as may be authorised under Section 11 of “The Finance Act, 1921,” together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking fund. "IVrOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN 11 that at a Special Meeting of the Horahia Drainage Board held on Friday, December 4th, 1925, it was resolved by way of Special Order to alter the boundaries of the Central and Southern Subdivisions.. That such Special Order will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Board to be held on Friday, the 15th day of January, 1926, at 10.30 a.m., at the residence of Mrs. E. K. Kneebone, Kerepeehi-Kopuarahi Road, Turua. .. That a copy of- the proposed Special Order is deposited at the Office of the Board and is open to the inspection of the public during the hours between 9' a.m. and 5 p.m. until the 15th day of January, 1926.
