Snatches of the strained, hectic life of war-time pass in review in Betty Compson’s newest' Paramount starring production, "New Lives for Old,” which will be shown to-night. It is a tale of war-time secret service, witn Betty as a dancer who is caught in the net and gladly sacrifices, everything, even, it appears, her great levs —for her country. Clarence Badger directed the production, which features Wallace MacDonald, Theodore Koslbff, and Sheldon Lewis, at the head of a strong supporting cast. HONOUR AMONG MEN. “Honour Among Men,” an intensely romantic, imaginative, and somewhat whimsical, motion picture, produced from Richard Harding Davis’ wellliked story, "The King’s Jackal,” and featuring Edmund Lowe, is l also to be shown to-night It tellis the story of an exiled King who, in his attempt to restore himself to power, or rather to collect a large amount of money under pretence of doing so, tries to enlist the sympathy of a wealthy American girl, who is about to give her millions to the King’s "cause. The real attraction, however, which brings the pretty . American into the intrigue of a foreign court is Prince Kftlonay, a handsome soldier whose loyalty to his King is proverbial. Mr Lowe epacts the role of the dashing, soldierly Prince, while Claire Adams., one of the screen’s most beautiful leading women, is seen as Patricia Carson, the American girl.
