HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Led., reports :— At our weekly stock sale held in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a moderate yarding of steer and cow beef which sold under reduced rates. A small, number of fat sheep were offered, and values also showed a decline. A full number of fat and store pigs came forward. Fats did not maintain the values of late markets, whil stores sold under the usual firm competition. Beef: Medium-weight prime steers brought from £l4 6& to £l5, well finished light £l2 16s to £l3 12s 6d; prime heavy fat cows and heifers £l2
10 : s .to £l4 2s 6d, prime £9 10s to £lO Is, medium £7 2s 6d to £B, light and unfinished £3 19s to £5 10s ; forwardconditioned good framed cows, Hereford cross, £5 10s, in store condition £4 10s to £4' 16s.
Two-year Polled Angus heifers, £6 5s ; 15-months Jersey and Jersey-crbiss heifers £4' 4s to £4 ss, small £2 15s to £3 10s ; good quality 15-months ShorL horn heifers £3 10s ,to £3 19s.
Sheep : Early shorn 4 and 6-tooth fat wethers 355; prime shorn ewes 31s. 6fl, medium 26s 3d to 28s. Pigs: Heavy baconers £4 5s to £4 13s, medium £3 10s to £3 17s ; light baconers and good porkers £3 to £3 10s, medium porkers £2 12s to £2 18s, light £2 5s to £2 10S, unfinished £2 to £2 ss; best slips 306 to 355, others, 22s to 28s; good weaners 25s to 275, medium 18s to 225, small and oyurig 12s to 16s.
