GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. “MEN AND WOMEN.” The attraction for to-night is a Paramount picture entitled. “Men and Women.” The. story centres round three persons— a bank cashier, his wife; and an assistant cashier. The latter uses bank securities to play' for: the stock market, and, meeting with success., lavishes gifts upon the pretty wife of his superior in the hope of winning her love. The husband, realising that he is in danger of losing his wife, finally succumbs -to. the suggestions of a broker-to-fbl-low the example of his rival and make money through the use of the bank’s bonds. The market collapses, the broker commits suicide, and teh bank cashier is ruined. He tries to keep his irregularities a secret and remains silent when the assistant is accused by the bank president of having taken .the securities. Detectives are about to arrest the assistant after the banker accuses him of having tried- to steal another man’s wife.
