Mr W. W,allace, fire adjuster, Auckland, was in Paeroa on Saturday morning.
The Rev. R. Morgan left Paeroa this morning to attend, the annual Presbyterian Assembly at Dunedin, and expects to be away for about J a fortnight. The Rev. Morgan, who has been in charge of the Presbyterian Church, Paeroa, during the past three years, has received a call to the new charge at Hamilton Eas.t, Waikato.
An Auckland paper records the engagement between Miss Muriel Gaynor Jackson, of “Kingtscliffe,’ ’ Marne Avenue, Mount Albert, second daugnter of the late Mr and Mrs F. E. Jackson, of Jubilee Avenue, Devohport, to Mr Alfred John Young, of Netherton, fourth son of the late Mr W. S. Young, and ofi Mrs Young, of “Riverside,” Otakeho 1 , Taranaki.
