A NEW NOVEL.

“'ONE INCREASING PURPOSE.”

A. S. M. HUTCHINSON’S LATEST

From the pen of A. S. M. Hutchinson a new novel has just been published under the title of “One Increasing Purpose.” This is the latest novel by this author, the two prior ones being “If Winter Comes” and '“This Freedom,” besides whi'ch he is responsible for many short stories, including “Once aboard the Lugger,” etc. This new publication will in ■these days of doubt and perplexity be read with special interest. It is a very moving story of a man who get out to find a “faith .that would satisfy” and found such a faith. The story is centred around three brothers Paris-Simon, Charles, and Andrewall of one blood but differing as widely as three brothers possibly can. The hero is Simon Paris, who went unscathed through the great warshared in some of its most desperate enterprises, but came through without wounds or sickness. The characterisation is exceedingly vivid in many ways, and the author has grappled seriously, with the mental and spiritual unrest which the war brought to ma,ny who saw its ugliest phases and came out alive. The publishers are' Hodder and Stoughton, Ltd.
