A PAEROA DANCER, COMPLAINS. LETTER TO RUGBY UNION. Apropos of the social held by the Paeroa Rugby Union in the Gaiety Theatre towards the end of last month, the following letter, addressed to the unibn, was read at-its meeting; on Monday evening:— “I want you to send me back my money (ss) for the two tickets I got at the door on Monda ynight. Being, as you all know*, ,a widow, I scraped up 8s 6d for three ticktes to go and have a dance, or at least for my daughter to have some anyway. We sat all the evening, bar two dances (one of which I asked the M.C. to get my daughter) ; so if that’s the sports you ‘footies’ are .there’s much to be desired if a widow’s 2s 6d’s are not ais good as those shop and office girl's’ money is. We never had supper when coming home at a quarter to eleven, sb kindly send back my ss, as I dont’ mind when a thing is fair.” No action was taken.
