SPORTS CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING AT NETHERTON The annual meeting off the Netherton Sports and Recreation Club was held on Thursday last, Mr C. IV Potter presiding over a good attendance of members. CROQUET CLUB. It was decided that upon a guarantee of 20 members being given the laying down of a green would be considered by .the club. HALL SITE. The matter of, the sale of a site On the culb’s grounds to accommodate the Nethertpn Hall (which has to be shifted on account of the stop-bank works) was dealt with, and it Was decided to hold a special meeting on Friday, 23rd inst, at 8 p.m. in the Netherton Hall, and invite all the original to .the Sports and Recreation Club’s funds for the purchase of the grounds .to be present. BALANCE-SHEET. The report stated that a successful season had been held. A considerable amount was spent in renewing two asphalt courts. This expenditure would not recur this Beason, but considerable improvement to the ground was anticipated. The bank'overdraft amounted to £l9 18s. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. OFFICERS. The following officers Welle elected : President, Mr C. H. Potter ; vice-pre-sident, Mr W. Matthews ;■ secretary, Mr A. R.’Morrison; general committee, Messrs' T : . Richmond, J. Munro, F. T. V. Johnson, and P. Harold. TENNIS CLUB. At‘the annual meeting of the Tennis Club the following officers were elected: President, Mr F. T. V. Johnson; vice-president, Mr G. A. Fisher ; secretary, Mr A. R. Morrison; general committee, Messrs J. Maloney, E. Potter, T.' Richmond; with officers; ground committee, Messrs E. Potter, G. A. Fisher, . and W.■■■ Matthews ; finance, Messrs W. .Matthews,, Jv,Maloney, F. T. V. Johnson. . SUBSCRIPTION, The subscriptions were fixed as. follows : Adults, men £1 'ss, ladies 15s; boys under 16 years 15s, girls under 16 years 10s. THANKS. Mr Potter, chairman of the School Committee, thanked the Tennis Club for allowing the school children the use of the courts under the supervision of the teachers during the past season. OPENING DAY. The .opening day was fixed for Saturday, November 7.
