LTo the Editor}. Sir, —With the improvement of the Paeroa Domain and the formation of a suitable area for outdoor sport it behoves us to wake up and endeavour to interest the youth of our district in athletic contest. To one keenly interested in encouraging healthy sport the idea of a sports meeting in Paeroa is admirable. Along with many another past track runner and sympathiser I hope that the movement “in the wind* ’of inaugurating a regular meeting in Paeroa will come to fruition. Even if the prizemoney in ,an initial meeting were not large, the support of the local lads would be assured. With a sports meeting, including school events and numerous attractions and side-Shows for the young folk, a big gala day would help materially to put Paeroa “on the map.” old sprinter:
