WEDDING BELLS.

WALKER—MAY. The marriage of Miss Annie (Sally) May. second daughter of Mrs E. May, of Paerba, and Mr Douglas M. Walker, of Auckland, took place in St. Mary’s Church, Paeroa, on Wednesday last. The Rev. Father Dunphy officiated. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother-in-law, Mr Peter Stewart, in a charming dress of creme creep-de-chine, caught at the side with orange blossom. She wore a beautiful tulle veil and pearl coronet and carried an exquisite bouquet of white flowers and maiden-hair fern and white satin streamers. Miss Jessie May, sister of the bride, assisted as bridesmaid, weaTing powder blue crepe-de-chine and hat to match. She carried a bouquet of pink stock and asparagus fern. Little Betty Broyd, niece of the bride, and Josie Sinnett, acted a.s flower girls, looking very sweet in blue and pink silk trimmed with tiny frills, and each carried a dainty posy. Mr J. Clare, of Ngatea, assisted as best man.

After the ceremony, the bridal party and guests adjourned to the Criterion Hotel, where the wedding breakfast was partaken of and .the usual toasts were honoured. The bride’s mother received her guests in a smart dress of grey marbeain and navy hat. Mrs Walker, mother of the groom, was attired in a fawn costume with hat to match. Thirty-six guests sat at the wedding breakfast. The newly wedded couple left by the evening train for'their honeymoon amid showers of confetti, the bride travelling in A smart grey costume and mauve georgette hat. Her beautiful fur coat was a present from the groom, and her present to him was a silver watch. The bridesmaid received a pair of pearl ear-rings and the flower girls each a silver bangle.
