Loan of £29,500 over the Netherton Roads Loan (1925) Special Rating Area for the Construction of Roads Therein as Set Out Hereunder:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN—1. That it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council under provisions of " The Counties Act, 1920,” "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” and amendments thereof respectively, and all other Acts, if any, it in that behalf enabling to borrow the sum of .£29,500 for the purpose of constructing roads as follows: — (a) Improving, metalling, and laying down as a bitumen road, the Main Highway from Puke Bridge to the Northern Boundary of Netherton Riding - (b) Improving and metalling Fisher’s Road Z 3600 (c) Improving and metalling Munro’s Road /1140 (d) Improving and metalling -School Road ,£l94° (e) Improving and metalling Old Main Road ,£2lOO (f) Improving and:' metalling Rangiora Road ,£520 (g) Improving and metalling Awaiti Road /2480 (h) Improving and metalling Awaiti West Road ,£1620 (i) Improving and metalling Pukahu East Road ,£2050 (j) Improving and metalling Pukahu West Road £l4OO (k) Improving and metalling Ngararahi Stopbank Road /2120 (l) First year’s interest and sinking fund and the preliminary charges of raising loan ,£2330 Total ,£29,500 2. That as security for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the said loan, it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a special rate of 4)4d. in the £, on the" rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Netherton Roads Loan (1925) Special Rating Area. 3. That it is the intention of the Council to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. 4. That the loan is for a period of years at such rate of interest not- exceeding so much as may be authorised under Section 11 of ‘ ‘The Finance Act, 1921,” together with an additional charge to provide’the necessary sinking fund. The Boundaries of the said Special Rating Area are as follows : — Commencing at a point where the Northern and Eastern Boundaries of Netherton Riding intersect thence in a Westerly and Southerly direction by the Northern and Western Boundaries of the said Riding to the North-Western corner of Lot 1 of Te Awaiti 1J283 Block, thence in a Southerly direction along the Western Boundaries of Te Awaite iJB3, IJ2AI, and 1A Blocks, thence in aa Easterly direction along the Southern Boundary of Te Awaiti 1A Block to the Eastern Bpundary of the said last mentioned block, thence by a right line to the Waihou River, thence in a Northerly direction by the Eastern Boundary of the Netherton Riding to the point of commencement. • Pursuant to Section 10 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1923,” I hereby give notice that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Netherton Roads Loan (1925) Special Rating Area will be taken on Monday, the 14th day of September, 1925, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., on the above proposal at the following polling place :— Public Hall, Netherton.
