PAEROA SOUTH STATION.

CTo the Editor! , Sir, —I beg to suggest the immediate necessity of a combined public moveemnt to secure some railway facilities to cater for the southern portion of Paeroa and surrounding district. The suggestion I would put forward is that the Public Works Department be approached by cur local bodies, including the Paeroa Borough Council, Chamber of Commerce, Settlers’ Association, etc., to have at least a flag-station and shunting sidings formed in the vicinity of the present railway crossings on the Te Arolia road. This station would be a very real help to all the southern end of Paeroa, and of great importance to all the Rotokohu district. There are, of course, many other considerations as well, such as helping school children to get to school easily, etc. I trust, therefore, that some early move may be made, and feel sure both public and individual support will be found in plenty for the object. W.D.K.
