The Medical Officer of Health, Auckland, forwarded a report of the Paeroa water supply, a sample of which had been taken by Inspector Martindale from Tarariki Stream
reservoir, on August 4. The water was not chlorinated. Cr. de Castro said that the technical analysis was not very intelligible, and .he thought that a chemical analysis should be asked for. As far as the analysis could be interpreted the'water was very pure. Cr. Flatt said that the -‘•eport was an absurd one to forward to a body of laymen.
