GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. “DOWN TO THE SEA IN SHIPS.” The special attraction for to-night is the Elmer Clifton production entitled “Down to tlie Sea in Ships.” Charles Morgan, played by W. Walcott, is the head of an enormous whaling fleet, which bear his name. He loses his only son, a whaleman, in a storm at sea. The boy had married a girl, not a Quaker, against his father’s will. A daughter is born who, following the death of both father and mother, is returned to her grandparent, the widowed elderly Morgan. Morgan also has a motherless daughter, Patience. Patience has a playmate, Thomas Dexter (Raymond McKee), a neighbour not of the Quaker faith. The girl is forbidden to play with him, and the children separate. Some years later young Dexter returns to his native village, and the scenes that follow arc brimful of love, pathos, and thrilling adventures. .
