GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. “ JOE.” Under the title of "Joe” Beaumont Smith, the Australian producer, has recently released his latest picture, which is to be screened to-night. The leading character, who is impersonated by Arthur Tauchert, is a station hand, who marries his employer’s daughter; and, later, becomes entangled in the affairs of certain city folk. Fun and drama have equal shares in the picture. “Joe,” which is based on Henry Lawson’s book, “Joe Wilson and His Mates,” is one of the several films which Beaumont Smith has produced from well-known Australian stories. SATURDAY NIGHT. “ IN EVERY WOMAN’S LIFE.” Many blooded houses, are used in First National’s forthcoming feature, “In Every Woman’s Life,” which will be the main attraction to-morrow night. Among the scenes is one never before attempted in motion pictures—a dinner on horseback. Fifty thoroughbreds arc used in this scene. They are grouped around a horseshoe of flowers and held in place by grooms. On the backs of the horses are seated men and women in evening dress, partaking of a dinner served on panniere suspended from their necks by ribbons. Virginia Valli will be seen in the leading role of this unusual love drama of society life, witfl Marc MacDermott, . Stuart Holmes, Lloyd Hughes, George Fawcett, John and other favourites in support.
