MOTOR ACCIDENT.
I'HIIEE PEDESTRIANS INJURED, RUN DOWN BY CAR. Three people, Mr R. L, Davies, Mrs Davies, arid a Mr Death, were injured in a motor-car accident on the Kere-peehi-Wharepoa road on Friday evening. They were walking towards Kerepeehi, and moved to the side of the road as a motor-car was approaching. Mr C. Nicholson, in. a Ford car, was coming up behind them,, and. being blinded by the bright headlights of the approaching car, did not see the pedestrians and ran them down.
All three were taken home, and the injuries were not thought, to be serious until Saturday morning, when a doctor w,as sent for and it was found that Mrs Davies' leg was broken, Mr Davies was suffering from concussion of the brain, and Mr Death had a broken bone in one of his toes. Mrs Davies and Mr Death were taken to the Thames* Hospital by ambulance, but it wais not thought advisable to shift Mr Davies.
