VETERINARY CLUB.
THE HAURAKI PLAINS BODY. MONTHLY EXECUTIVE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the executive of the Farmers’ Veterinary Club was held .at Ngatea yesterday, Mr A. J. Andrews presiding over Messrs C. H. Waite, R. Burke. G. Phillips, R. Rowlings, C. W. Schultz, and C. A. Gibson, secretary. MEMBERSHIP. One new member was enrolled, anol two resignations were accepted from members who had given up dairyingseveral members wrote resigning;, but these applications were refused! and in some eases the clubs’ solicitor was intstructed to sue for the outstanding subscriptions and money due for services and medicine. It was pointed out by speakers that all members should know that a resignation must be banded in by March 31 to be effiecWxe for the following year. The resignation of a Torehape member was accepted, it being the policy of the club to confine its membership to farmers residing within reasonable distance of metalled roads,. FINANCE. In reply to the chairman the secretary reported that the cash in hand! amounted to - about £7. AU salaries, were paid up to date. Accounts totalling £ll Is ltd were passed for payment when funds per- . mitted. SERVICES OF SURGEON. Numerous complaints Were made by members concerning the action of the surgeon in attending non-members without permission from the executive, and a course of action was decided upon. . PROVISION OF A CAR. The question of providing the surgeon with a motor-car was discussed at length, and it was decided that the chairman go into the matter thoroughly and report to the next meeting. The surgeon was to be asked t 6. attend the meeting to discuss .the matter. • .
