GOLF.
SATURDAY’S PLAY. The lady members of the Paeroa Golf Club played the first round of the eclectic match on Saturday. The weather was fine, and a good number of players took part in the competition. The men played the first round for the president’s trophy, the first three scoring as follows: P. R. Hubbard, 111__35_76, 3 points; R. L. Miller, 92—14—78, 2 points ; H. H. Bray, 90—■ 9 —Bl, 1 point.
On Wednesday the ladies will play a bogey match, players to arrange their own partners. An entrance fee of 6d will be charged.
