Messrs Thompson and Berney, the other Plains delegates, agreed to accept the offer of the Paeroa ami Waihi unions, and the motion was carried unanimously.

Rugby Union, reported on the proceedings at the annual meeting. It was very difficult to arrange matches’ for, touring teams. There was every probability of Ha,w’ke’ , s Bay playing Thames Valley next treason, but there was no chance of a match this season. Matches with Wellington might also be held next season. A game with Auckland would be held this season. Negotiations had been entered into with the King Country union and an offer made. He had every reason to believe that this would be a match that would extend the Thames Valley team. Negotiations had also been er. • tcred into for a return match with Waikato, ' and it was possible that matches could be arranged later, in the season with, other touring teams. On behalf of the union the chairman thanked Mr Callagher for his’ efforts, WAIKATO MATCH. The Waikato union wrote stating that it would be pleased to hear from this union in connection'with an early match. : Members contended that the union had not been treated fairly last season, as a, B grade team had been sent to Waihi. An offer to send an A grade team had been declined, yet a B grade team had been sent as an A grade. It was suggested that a match be played with Waikato, on condition that an A grade team n sent to Thames Valley this season, and a motion to that effect was tarried. It was decided that Messrs Foster. Crosby, and Wroe be a committee to confei by telephone with the president on the matter. KING COUNTRY GAME. The secretary of the King Country union wrote confirming the arrangement made with the delegate for a match at Tc Aroha on condition that 50 per cent, of the gate receipts were guaranteed, the minimum amount to be £3O. Saturday, August I's, was suggested. : The action of the delegate was confirmed and the offer accepted, AUCKLAND MATCH. The Auckland union wrote advising that the application for. a match was receiving consideration. SELECTORS. It was decided to have four selectors; one from each union, Messrs C. S. The secretary was instructed to re quest the N.Z. union to pay the school grant as early as possible. JUNIOR COMPETITION. The Paeroa delegates brought forward a recommendation to the effect that two rounds be played for the Sharebrokers’ Cup instead of a knock - out round, and a motion to that effect was carried. The matches will be as follows June 13—Piako v. Paeroa, at Io Aroha ; Waihi a bye. June 27.: Waihi v Piako, at Waihi; Paeroa a bye. June 11: Waihi v. Paeroa, at Paeroa.; Piako a bye. The second round wli! be arranged later, BOUNDARIES. The Plains delegates brought UP the question of players from Maramarua playing for the Waitakaruru club. It was desired to know whether an alteration of the boundary of the Thames Valley union was necessary or whether it. was permissible to allow the men to play without an alteration. It was agreed that it was not desirable to extend the boundaries,
The Piako delegates mentioned that there was a strip of "no 1 man’s land'’ bet.w'een the Piako and Paeroa subunions. .
