ENTERTAINMENTS.

GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT “ THE CONFIDENCE MAN.” Dan Cprvan and Larry Maddox are sent, to the little town of Fairfield to unload some worthless International Oil Shares on the town millionaire and miser, Godfrey Querritt. They, find that it is as hard to get to speaking terms with him as it is to sell ice-chests to the Esquimos. The story of the success of Dan and Larry is thrillingly told in “The Confidence Man,’’ which will be shown to-night. Thomas Mcighan is the star, and in the cast are Virginia VbUi ami Laurence Wheat. SATURDAY NIGHT. -A SELF-MADE FAILURE."

“A Self-made Failure,” the First National picture for to-morrow night, is an excellent comedy-drama which will appeal particularly to youngsters, while it yet holds the love interest and romance so necessary to the older folk, it tells of the adventures of “Breezy,” a lovable tramp, and hid little pal “Sonny,” and their dog “Cameo,” and how they are tne means of bringing happiness to the charming little heroine of the story. Tne plot is well defined, and the sequences of the drama have been so closely connected that there is very little break in the story except the bathing girl sequence, which was apparently injected purely for the beauty of the scenes and the ludicrous situations which were brought about by the bringing of a bevy’ of beautiful young women into what had prev.’ously been an atmosphere of age aiid rheumatism. The cast includes Ben Alexander. Lloyd Hamilton, Matt Moore, Patsy Rtuh Miller, Mary Carr, Sam De Grasse. Chuck Reisner, Dan Mason, Alta Allen, Priscilla Moran, Joe McCray, and “Cameo,” the dog. of “Penrod and Sam" fame.
