FOOTBALL MISHAP.

PLAYERS LEG BROKEN. ACCIDENT AT WAITAKARURU. During the progress of the senior football match at Waitakaruru on Saturday Mr L. (Toby) Ryan, of Orongo, a United Coast player, had the misfortune to have his leg broken below - the knee. Tnc mishap was purely accidental, the playcr’-s legs becoming crossed with those of another player while both were running for the ball. Dr. J. J. Valentine quickly arrived and set the limb in splints, afterwa>ds removing the, patient to tne Thames Hospitl for an X-ray examination.
