WAIKATO MARKET REPORT.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports:

Eeel’.—There Has oeeu J o improvement since our last report, prices being euual to 28s per 100 for prime ox and 22s 6d for good cow beef. ' Fat Sheep.—Prices about the ..same; Sufficient coming forward to meet local demands. Store Sheep.—A good inquiry exists for all classes, ewes in lamb and hoggets being much sought alter. Store Cattle.—The yardi.ugs at present are small, being confined mostly' to store cows, yearlings, and 2-year-old heifers.

Pigs.—Big yardings of both fat and store pigs are still coming forward, baconers and porkers selling at about 5 3 Z 2d, and stores showing a big drop, dye .to the milk supply gomg off.

Horses.—A fair demand for heavy draughts. Also good young useful farm sorts are wanted, but there is little demand for aged and light horses.

Horses: Heavy draughts £5O to £6O, medium £35 to £3B : spring cart sorts £22 to £3O, harness horses £8 to £lO, hacks £8 to f.ll. HAMILTON STOCK SALE. We held our weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last, having a small yarding of cow beef and store cattle,; a fair entry of sheep, and fat and store pigs. Bee! showed a considerable improvement to the previous market, whiie fat and store sheep and heavy baconers sold ■well up to late rates. Store pigs and porkers again being dull of sale. Fat cows brought from £6 9s to £6 10s, medium £4 15s to £5 Ils, light £4' £4 9s, small and unfinished £2 13s to £3 14s- stores £1 l'2s to £ 2. vealers 37s to £2. Fat. wethers 37s 9d, medium fat ewes 265, fat and forward blackface lambs 22s 6d to 255, medium 2toorh wethers 275, low-conditioned small 4 and 6-tooth wethers 26s 6d, c'uHs 15s, small and poor 2-tboth ewes 20s 9d, culls 13s 6d, cull lambs 10s 9d.
