HALL SOCIETY. The people of Kerepeehi evidently do not desire a public library, as a meeting of the Hall Site Society, called for Monday evening for the purpose of discussing the utilisation of the site and funds in hand for the establishment of a public library, was attended by the convener, the secretary of tlie society, only. NGATEA. REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. The weekly meeting of the Hauraki Plains Rugby Referees' Association was held at Ngatea on Monday evening,. Mr J. Darlington presiding over Messrs G. T. Davidson, H. L. Berney, C. Bertelsen, A. McClean, J. Costello, T. A. McClean, J. Reid, J. N. Andertson, and M. Leonard, secretary. It was decided that the regular meeting be held on Tuesday evenings, except during the week in which the Rugby Union met, when the meetings would be held on the same evening. Membership fees were fixed at 6d for the season. The referees appointed for the matches on Saturday next were as follows : Turua v. Coast, Mr J. Kidd ; Kerepeehi v. Waitakaruru, Messrs D. J. McMillan (seniors) and G. T. Davidson (juniors); West v. Ngatea. Messrs J. N. Anderson (seniors) and C. Bertelsen (juniors). NETHERTON. FOOTBALL. The Netherton Football Club at a meeting last week decided to plav with the Paeroa Rugby Union. A practice match against the West senior and junior teams will be held ac Netherton on Saturday next.
