JERSEY BREEDERS.
THAMES VALLEY CLUB. MEETING AT PAEROA. A meeting of the Thames Valley Jersey Breeders’ Club was held in the N.Z. Co-op. Dairy Co.’s board-room, Paeroa, on Monday last, the president (Mr B. E. Veale) presiding over the following: Messrs G. Buchanan, J. Morrison, M. Crimmins, E. Hoffman, and the secretary (Air W. L. Lawrence). • annual conference.
A letter received from the South Auckland Jersey Breeders’ Association, Hamilton, .advising that the annual conference of bleeders would be held in Hamilton on June 10. Following the meeting, it was intended that visitors would be entertainejd' at a social cvebing, during which several short addresses would be given. The following day the Hamilton and Te Awamutu clubs were combining, and were providing a sufficient .number. of ears to convey the delegates anu visitors-on a tour through the Waikato and Thames Valley. The local club was requested to forward the names of its delegates, and to st;ile to what extent it was prepared to assist the association in cariying out . the project, Following a brief discussion, it was resolved to defray the cost of providing'l.unchqon for a party of forty at Te Aroha bn June 11. The president and secretary were empowered to make the necessary arrangements at Te Aroha. it was resolved that Messrs Veale, Walteis, Hall, and Lawrence as as delegates. SHOW SUBSIDIES.
In reply to an inquiry the N.Z. Jersey Breeders’ Association, Palmerston North, advised that bejfore subsidies to clubs on behalf of A and P. Associations would be paid a certified catalogue (Signed by the secretary of the show and the club secretary was required. On the - motion of Mr Buchanan, seconded by Mr Hoffmann, the secretary was instructed to take the matter up again with the show officials with the object of obtaining a full subsidy tor the 1923 show. ACCOUNTS.
Accounts totalling £1 10s were passed for payment. it was decided that the next meeting be held in June, and that the president and secretary be authorised to transact any business that might arise in the interim.
