Sir,—ln reply to James Verran’s letter, I isay it is a base and disgusting return to the said family, who have shown him the greatest kindness and hospitality for a number of years pajst. I wish to correct him in regard to bad language, which was used on the line and among menfolk,, not in the hearing of womeh, as he assejrts. J. Vorran joins the Karangahake Football, Club ..and attends the meetings while he is still a “Magpie” (in other words a West Club member), which, was the cause of" all the trouble.
