GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT " THE WHITE MOTH.” Strong drama amidst colourful backgrounds that range from lurid settings of the night, life of Parisian theatrical circles to scenes depicting the gay whirl of society in New York is tc be shown to-morrow night with the screening of Maurice Tourneur’: absorbing photoplay. “The White Moth,” featuring Barbara La Marr in the title role. One of the most dramatic situations is the shooting by i jealous woman of Montrez, former dancing partner of "The White Moth,” whom he has followed to woo. Meantime the White Moth has married a young American millionaire, who went through.the ceremony merely to prevent the wedding of his own brother to the dancer. The complications grow, however, when the husband, portrayed by Conway Tearle, eventually discovers he loves his own wife and finds her and Montrez in the same room, the latter in a pool of blood CATHOLIC SOCIAL. The members of thee Catholic Social Committee have arrangements well in hand for the grand social and euchro tournament which is to be held in the Gaiety Theatre. Paeroa, on Monday evening. No pains are being spared to ensure its success, ami in addition to splendid music and a good supper, valuable prizes have been provided for the winners of the euchre tournament.
