A deputation from the Netherton Football Club comprising Messrs C. Potter, R. Morrison, G. Fisher, T. D. Rice, and C. McMillan waited upon tlie union.

Mi- C. Potter, president of the Netherton Club, said that his club desired to affiliate with the Plains Union, and he suggested that a sub-union be formed comprising the clubs between the two rivers.

Mr W. Thompson said that it was not possible to form a sub-union, but if the Netherton Club desired to join, it might be possbible to arrange to play the matches in zones. Mr G. Porteous supported the proposal, saying that the matter could easily be arranged.

Mr C. Foster pointed out that the matter rested with the Thames Valley Union. He would suggest that the Netherton Club confer with the Paeroa Rugby Union' and the Thames Valley Union, and then approach the Plains Union.

This view was endorsed by Mr W. Thompson. Mr Potter said that his club desired to know if the Hauraki Plains Union would accept -the affiliation of his club. Mr A. AlcClean moved that, the Netherton Club be admitted to the Hauraki Plains Rugby Union subject to the necessary clearance being obtained from the Paeroa Rugby Union through the Thames Valley Union. Mr W. Thompson seconded. Mr Cowdrey pointed out that the Nethreton Club desired admittance oniv on condition that the matches on the Plains were played in zones. This was an important point. Mi- R. Morrison stated that this aisnect was not stressed, but in his opinion the Hauraki Plains Union would adopt this course as the only possible one. Mr G. Porteous concurred, pointing out that the playing of club matches in zones would mean that they could be completed as far as the competitions were concerned before the represenliitivo matches commenced.
