PERSONAL.
Mr G. P. de Castro, Paeroa, received a cable this morning from his son, Dr. Leo R. de Castro, to the effect that he has obtained his degree of F.R.C.S., at Edinburgh. Dr. de Castro left Pae-ro-i in October last to continue his studies abroad, and he is to be congratulated on obtaining his degree in such a remarkably short time.
