MR. G. P. LAMBS REPLY.
NOMINATION DECLINED. m reply to the deputation that wait- ra on him on Friday morning last Mr G. P. Lamb states thjit he is unable, to accede to the request to allow himself to be nominated for a further term on the Paeroa Borough Council. In declining nomination Mr Lamb stated that the reason which prompted hi.? decision was that he could not spare the time from his business to give to municipal affairs, and there- y fore he was reluctantly compelled to refuse. During the past four years he had taken a keen interest ir borough affairs, and he regretted very much that circumstances prevented him from carrying on for a further term, - especially in view of the various progressive works which have been undertaken by the council recently. Mr Lamb states that he has unlimited faith in the town, and feels that its future development and progress are assured provided the people will istand together and work for the common weal.
