MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. THE HANDICAP DRAW. iX meeting of the Hauraki Plains tea on Wednesday, Mr G. J. Walker tea on Wednseday, Mr G. J. Walker presiding over Messrs J. N. Anderson, J. Miller, M. O’Connor, R. Penny, B. Lyons, and A. R. Vowles, bon. secretary. HANDICAPS. The handicaps for the various, handicap tournaments were announced by Mr Vowles and adopted by (he association, Mr Vowles being complimented on his work. Mr Vowles’ handicap was decided by the association. H was decided that the tournaments be played in sections, cast side of the yivor and west side of the river. Al) matches must be played by Saturday, 14th, and the second round matches by March 25. The draw for the second round will be made by the (secretary and Mr Anderson on March 15. CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES. Owing to the fact that several of the matches in the championship competition still remain unplayed, it was decided that the draw for v the third round be made by the secretary. The semi-finals and finals will be played at Turua on a date to be arranged later. The ladies’ semi-final matches will be between Miss Clotworthy and Miss Duffy, and between Miss Wallace and Mrs Speedy, Miss Clothworthy having beaten Miss Tizard 4—6—o, 6—2, Miss Duffy beating Mrs Valentine 6 __4 ( 6—2, Miss Wallace beating Miss. D. Miller 6—l, 6—2, and Mi’s Speedy beating Mrs Bird 6 —4, 6 —l.
