BOWLING.
VISITORS FROM THAMES. ’ NIGHT PLAY ON LOCAL GREEN. A visit was paid by the Thames Bowling Club members to the local green on Wednesday night, when a night contest was played. The president of the local club, Mr D. Brown, in his usual jovial manner extended a hearty welcome to the visitors. The play was very even throughout the evening, and a most enjoyable game ended in a win for Paeroa by the narrow margin of five points. At the conclusion of the contest Mr Pratt, president of the Th.ames Club, inivted the Paeroa Club to play an inter-club match at Thames, the invitation being heartily accepted. The scores were as follows, the Thames names in each instance being mentioned first: —
