STUDEBAKER CARS.
FLEMING AND SON’S PURCHASE. LATEST MODEL DE LUXE. Commendable enterprise has been shown by Mr W. Fleming, principal of the firm of Messrs Fleming and Son, Paeroa. in securing the first duplexphaeton 1925 model Studebaker car in New Zealand. In addition to holding the local agency for the Studebaker Motor Co., the film is desirous of bringing its taxi plant up to a state of comfort and perfection second to none in the province. This latest. model, whica arrived from Auckland on Monday, has been the cynosure of a large number of admiring eyes in Paeroa during the past couple of days. It ’.s small wonder, when the many improvements, graceful stream-lines, general utility, and economical running are explained by the owners. There ijs some justification in describing the machine as “the last word in motor-cars.” Fitted with balloon tyres and shock absorbers to prevent swaying, riding is made a pleasure. One of the outstanding features of this Big Six model is the fixed hood and side-blinds. The old-fashioned hand-brakes are eliminated, being replaced by a hydraulic brake operated by a lever from the dashboard. Timkin bearings, are fitted on the steering rods, and provision is made for the Wagner battery system ignition, or the ordinary style of magneto. A one-piece wind-shield, a sun-shield, and an automatic wind-screen wiper are among some of the many special features of this model.
Messrs Fleming and Son will welcome any inquiries, and are willing to arrange a demonstration at any time. The business address is the Central Garage, Princes Street, Paaroa. Telephone 124.*
