Miss Leggatt and Mackie 5. Totals : Hikutaia 120, Thames 74. FAREWELL SOCIAL. A farewell social was given, on Monday. sth inst., in honour of Mr and Mm O’Loughlin, who left for Auckland on the Bth. Mrs O’Loughlin was a member of the “A” team and Mr O'Loughlin was a keen supporter oi hoth tennis and football. Mr E, Elliot, on behalf of the residents of Hikutaia, presented Mr and Mrs O’lxjughlin with an 8-day clock. WHAREPOA EVENING.. Mr and Mrs E. Elliot, of Omahu, gave a most enjoyable social evening in the Wharepoa- Hall on the 7th inst., over 200 guests being present. The hall was brilliantly decorated and the floor was beautiful. Several vocal items and recitations were given, and th*> streamer dance added to the enchantment of the night.
