ENTERTAINMENTS.

GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT EAST LYNNE. The much discussed film sensation, “East Lynne,’’ by Mrs Henry Woods, will be shown to-night. There ip not a living woman that this stirring drama story of life will not enthuse. It shows man sunken to depths of vice and degradation, man raised to sublime heights. It grips the very soul, and holds the spectator fascinated and breathless for two hours. It is clean, human and inspiring. There are three sorts of women in “East Lynne.” The woman of seventeen who wants a husband, the young woman of twentyseven who has a husband and wants to get rid of him, and the old woman of seventy who does not know what the deuce she does want. Also the master merrymaker of the movies. Charlie Chaplin, will be seen in a hurricane of fun entitled “The New Reporter.” In addition the famous production “The Sin Flood,” with and all-star cast, will be screened, the public thus being afforded an opportunity of seeing a triple-star programme. PERRY’S BIG CIRCUS. TO VISIT PAEROA. Perry Bros.’s huge circus and zoo will shortly visit Paeroa. The show has recently arrived in New Zealand after a tour of America, Africa, and Australia, where it was classed as the greatest ring show on earth.
