As a consequence, the public will find that they can obtain any class of footwear at a price below that ruling in Auckland tivsty. This is not a myth, but an indisputable fact. As Mr Wright explains, his overhead expenses are not high, and he is prepared to pass the benefit on to the public. Most doctors will say that far too much meat is eaten in New Zealand. Realising the soundness of that opinion. and that people should eat more fish, Mr A. M. Laird, Normanby Road, opposite the Criterion Hotel, is catering extensively for the trade. All the fish sdd arrives packed in ice daily from Thames, and comprises such varieties as schnapper, flounder, gurnard, hapuka, and other kinds. Also smoked fish, crayfish, and the famous Coromandel mussels .cooked or in the shell, are always obtainable. The premises have been completely renovated, and an attractive window spray and trough keeps the fish fresh and cool throughout the hottest weather. Mr Laird says that it is not his in--tentioi; to cut prices so as to injure other traders, but he can sell his goods very cheaply and solicits a fair share of patronage.
