RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSALS. PURSUANT to Section 12 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Paeroa, taken on the 17th day of December, 1924 : On the proposal of the Paeroa Borough Council to borrow the sum of two thousand pounds (£2000) for the purpose of assisting ratepayers in the Borough of Paeroa to connect with the sewers, - The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 162. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 47. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried. On the proposal of the Paeroa Borough Council to borrow the sum of six thousand pounds (£6000) for the purpose of enlarging, renewing, and extending Water Mains and Reticulation m the Borough of Paeroa, The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 168. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 44. J therefore declare that the proposal was carried. On the proposal of the Paeroa Borough Council to borrow the sum of six thousand five hundred pounds (£6500)’ for the purpose of purchasing the assets of the Ohincmuri Light and Power Co., Ltd. (in liquidation), and effecting improvements to the buildings, plant, and mains of the said Company, The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 81. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 126. I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected. Dated at Paeroa this 18th day of December, 1924. Wm. MARSHALL, Mayor. On Ist January following trains will NOT run : 6.40 a.m. Paeroa-Frankton ; 10.30 a.m., 3.40 p.m. FranktonPaeroa; 5.55 p.m. Paeroa-Waihi. Usual 10 a.m. Thames-Te Aroha train leaves Thames 9.45 a.m. Extra trains leave Paeroa as follows : For Thames, 7.20 a.m., 5.50 p.m., 6.34 p.m. For Te Aroha, 10.5, 10.46 a.m., 7 p.m. For Waihi, 7.5 p.m. Train leaves Thames at 7.25 p.m. for Paeroa.
