MOTORING ACCIDENT.
CAR OVERTURNS. THREE PEOPLE INJURED. A serious accident befel Mr and Mrs Kinsella and child, of Waikino, at about five o’clock on Sunday afternoon on a side road from Waikino towards Waitekauri and near the four cross-roads. J list how the accident occurred, or its cause, it is difficult to say, but it appeal’s that the car struck a bank and turned turtle, failing on to the road with its wheels upwards. There were six occupants of the car, Mr and Mrs Kinsella, their three children, and a boy named O’Brien. T-he three children in the back seat were thrown clear, but those in the front suffered considerably. One of the children went for assistance and luckily got in touch with Mr Jougluu, who was at Mrs Campbell’s residence. Accompanied by his wife and Mrs Campbell, Mi Joughin set off for the scene of the accident, ami with Mr W, Crimmins extricated the unfortunate people. from their perilous position. It wjs feund that the child, two years old. had suffered the loss of an eye and was suffering from a fractured jaw, and cheek and throat badly lacerated. Mrs Kinsella had a fractured leg, and was badly bruieed about the body. Mr Kinsella, although not injured, was suffering from shock and bruises.
Mr Joughin took the sufferers to the Waihi Hospital, where their injuries were attended to, Dr. Little, of Paeroa, being telephoned for to assist. The child, we learn, is in a very critical condilton.
