DISTRICT NEWS.
NGATEA. SCHOOL DENTAL CLINIC. A special meeting of the Ngatea District High School was held bn Monday evening to consider matters in connection with the proposed dental clinic to be established at the tschool. A letter was received from the director o£ .the division of dental hygiene, Department of Health, setting out the requirements of furniture and fittings for the clinic. Messrs McDuff and Clare were appointed to bring down an estimate of the cost. The secretary was instructed to inform the department that the clinic would be ready for occupation by the opening of the next school year, and he was also instructed to issue an appeal to residents for fundis. A £ for £ subsidy would probably be granted on all moneys received. OPENING OF CHURCH. The official opening of the recently erected Methodist Church at Ngatea will be performed to-morrow by the Mayor of Paeroa (Mr W. Marshall) after which the building will be dedicated by the Rev. A. Ashcroft, president of the District Conference.
