PURSUANT to Section 9 of • “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” notice is hereby given that the Paeroa Borough Council proposes to raise Special Loans as follows: — (1) PROPOSED LOAN OF £6OOO for the purpose of enlarging, renewing, and extending Water Mains and reticulation in the Borough; including the first year’s Interest and Sinking Fund and the cost of raising the loan. That the Paeroa Borough Council proposes to make such loan repayable in 36| years, and proposes to make provision for the repayment thereof by a sinking fund of not less than one per cent, per annum. That the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be an annually recurring special rate of eleven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa. (2) PROPOSED LOAN OF £6500 for the purpose of purchasing the assets of the Ohinemuri Light and Power Co., Ltd., in liquidation, and effecting improvements to the buildings, plant, and mains of the said Company, includ- . mg the first year’s interest and sinking fund and the cost of raising the loan. That the Paeroa Borough Council proposes to make such loan repayable in 25 years, and proposes to make provision for the repayment thereoi by annual payments to a sinking fund of not less than H per cent, on the amount of the loan. That the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be an annually recurring special rate of three-fourths of one penny (Id) in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa. (3) PROPOSED LOAN OF £2OOO for the purpose of assisting ratepayers to connect witn the sewers. That the Paeroa Borough Council proposes to make such, loan repayable in ten years, and proposes to make provision tor repayment by making all amounts which have been used for the purpose of assisting ratepayers to connect with the sewers repayable to the Council not later than that date and creating a sinking fund of amounts repaid at an earlier date -if necessary or desirable. Lnat the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be an annually recurring special rate of one farthing in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa. it is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan, but not the interest and sinking fund for the first year THAT the Paeroa Borougn Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for these works out of the ordinary revenue of the Borough, proposes to raise the above-mentioned special Loans.
