A number of persons donated trophies and money for special prizes. It was agreed that there were many more specials this year than last year, and the canvassers appointed had not yet completed their work.Further details in connection with the show were arranged. It was decided that a plentiful supply of hot water would be provided for the public. A working bee will he held on the grounds on the Saturday and Monday prior to the show. Several members referred to the fact , that persons not entitled to refreshments at the- association’s expense repeatedly endeavoured to obtain same, and Mr J. A. The club intended that it should be on the same lines as the Hamilton Jersey Oaks. There would be no expense to the show association, and the club would find the prizes. He asked for an expression of opinion on the matter. Mr Reid said he thought the idea was good, and he would be in favour of doing anything to help the Jersey Club. The chairman asked for further information. He was also m favour of helping the club. Mr Veale replied that the club as yet did not have complete knowledge of the working of the scheme, but it was i itended to have'the same rules and regulations as the Hamilton ClubThe chairman suggested that further information should be obtained for next meeting, and a motion to that effect was duly carried. “We all approve of the proposal,” jsaid the chairman, to which the membeis agreed. Mr Findlay remarked that the association was out to help any breeders club and all breeds. CREAM COMPETITION. Mr Reid suggested adding a home separated cream competition to the schedule. This was a butter-fat district, and they wanted to encourage the production of a first grade articleAftei some discussion it was agreed that it was too late to add such a competition to the schedule for the approaching show, but the matter should be considered when making arrangements for next year, the secretary to obtain full particular of similar competitions at other shows.
