REHEARING REFUSED.
ADJOURNMENT DECLINED. JUDGMENT SUMMONS TO STAND. At the Paeroa Magistrate's Court on Monday, before Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., an application for rehearing on the judgment summons in the case of Kenny and Sons v. John Leslie Hanna for an amount of £42 6s 9d, was sought by Hanna on the grounds that: (1) Since the date of judgment in the action he had not. had the means to pay the amount of the judgment and had earned nothing since the date of the judgment, September 8 last; (2) that he had assigned his estate to for .the benefit of his creditors, and that already seveneighths in value had signed the deed of assignment'; (3) of the remaining one-eighth in value he believed at least cne-half would sign. Mr E. W. Porritt appeared for Kenny and Sons and objected to the application or an adjournment. v’he application for a rehearing was dismissed and the request for an adjournment was declined by the Magistrate.
