DISTRICT NEWS.
NGATEA. A UNITED CHOIR. At a meeting of those interested on Thursday evening it was decided that as a choir would be of great assistance at the (services held by the various denominations in the new church and a source of pleasure to the members, as well as an asset to the township, a united choir should be formed. It was stated that sufficient singers were available. The choir would be expected to attend every evening service held in the church, and services at other times on special occasions. Practices will be held in the Public Hall *until the church is available, the first being from 8 p.m. till 9 P.m. on Thursday next. KEREPEEHI. PLUNKET NURSE. A movement is on foot to have the Plnnket nurse visif Kerepeehi on the mornings of her weekly visit to Ngatea. A meeting of those interested was held at Kerepeehi on Friday afternoon, but owing to the boisterous weather the attendance was so small that a further meeting was decided on.
