ENJOYABLE SOCIAL.

HELD IN THE PARISH HALL. An enjoyable social evening and euchre tournament wag held in the St Paul’s Parish Hall last evening, and was largely attended. Dancing was indulged in during the greater part of the time, for whicn delightful music was supplied by Miss Coote (piano) and L. Flatt (violin). Mr R. B. Penlington as M.C. was attentive to his duties. For the non-dancers a euchre tournament was held on the stage, some twenty players taking part. Mrs W. J. Staunton had charge of this department of the evening’s amusement. The •prize was won by Mrs Taiboys, the booby prize going to Mrs Lamb. During the evening songs were contributed by Mrs P. H. Smith and Miss McCullay, and extra dance music was proviced by Mrs tSaunton, Miss L Vincent, and Miss I. Smith.
