DISTRICT NEWS.

PIPIROA A DANCE. On Tuesday evening in the Pipiroa Hall the local sports club held a dance with the object of raising funds to assist the United Coast Football Club. The function was attended by about forty couples, the bus from Waitakaruru and the launch from Kerepeehi having brought a fair number. The floor—well known as one of tthe best in the district—was in splendid order, and good dance music was supplied by Mrs Hudson’s orchestra from Kerepeehi. Extras were played by Miss Ganley and Miss Marshall. Circumstances being ideal, those present spent a very enjoyable time.
