PERSONAL.
Mr C. Stretton, of Waitakaruru, who was injured in the football match at Paeroa on Saturday last, was on Sundav admitted to the Thames Hospital, it being thought by Dr. Valentine t’r.at the X-ray would reveal that a small bone had been broken in his foot. Mr D. Shankland, who for the past eighteen months has been engineer on the Ruston drag-line dredges under the Public Works Department around Paeroa, has been appointed to superintend the erection and maintenance of machinery for Messrs Armstrong, Whitworth and Co. on the TaurangaKatikati railway construction works.
