The Monthly Medal competed for* last Saturday was won by Mr P. R. Hubbard with a ecore 110 —35—75. LADIES. Last Saturday’s match was won by Mrs Arthur. The best scores were: Mrs Arthur 80, Mrs Bray 81, Mrs Bain 32, Mrs Miller 82, Mrs Lawrence 81, Mrs Edwards 85. The results of the first round of the Ladies’ Championship were as follows : Mie Bray beat Miss L. Thorp, 5 —3 , Mrs Arthur beat Mrs Bain, 2 up; Miss D. Poland beat Miss M. Thorp 4—3 ; Miss Walmsley beat Mrs Lawrence, 4 —3 ; Miss E. Walmsley beat Mrs Sileock, 7—6 ; Mrs beat Mrs Andrews, 6—5; Mrs Miller beat Miss Buchanan, B—7 ; Mies Tierney b* at Miss Argali, 7—5. At a general meeting of the Paeroa. Ladies Golf Club held yesterday! afternoon it was decided to have a Ladies Day each Tuesday. The first match, to be held on August 12, will be a Canadian foursome, with an entrance fee of sixpence. The followingis the draw : Mrs Miller and Mrs Lit-> lie v. Mrs Edwards and Mrs Taylor; Mrs McDougall and Miss Walmsley vMiss Buchanan and Mns Andrews Mrs Bray and Mrs Gillman v. Mrs Sileock and Miss Tierney; Miss Argali and Mre Bain v. Mrs Porritt and Mrs Peacock ; Mrs Lawrence and Mrs Arthur v Mrs Hubbard and Mrs Byrne Miss Menzies and Miss Arthur. The match will commence about one o’clock, and players who are. unable to compete should notify their partners on or before the Sth Inst. INTER-CLUB MATCH. On Saturday next a combined team will ‘.ravel to Te Arolia to play an inter-club match with members of the Te Aroha club.
